OUR STORY
Women and children are at the heart of everything we do.

Since 2016
The Livina Foundation was established in 2016 by Godelive Coigny, inspired by a simple yet powerful conviction: those who have been fortunate enough to receive much in life have a responsibility to give back.
Driven by a deep commitment to social impact, the Foundation works alongside women and children living in vulnerable circumstances, providing them with the support, opportunities, and resources they need to build brighter and more sustainable futures.
As Godelive Coigny, Founder of the Livina Foundation, explains:
“The Livina Foundation was born from a simple conviction: when we have been fortunate enough to receive so much in life, it is our responsibility to give back. We want to stand alongside women and children living in precarious conditions and help them build a better future.”
Through education, healthcare and social inclusion, the Livina Foundation is dedicated to creating lasting change and fostering communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Our Vision & Mission
We envision a world where access to education, healthcare, and social inclusion is a fundamental reality for the most vulnerable.
Our work focuses on three key areas—Education, Health, and Social Inclusion—where we strive to create opportunities, restore dignity, and empower individuals to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
Education
Our mission is to ensure the most vulnerable children access quality education in safe, inclusive and stimulating environments that foster learning, personal growth and holistic development.
We recognise that education extends beyond the classroom: a child’s success depends on physical health, emotional well‑being, family support and access to basic resources. That’s why we combine educational programmes with health, social and family services to give children the foundations they need to flourish.
By investing early, we open pathways to lifelong learning, greater opportunity and lasting social change. Through targeted support, resources and holistic development initiatives, we empower children to build confidence, acquire essential skills and unlock their full potential.
Health
Our mission is to ensure women and children affected by HIV have equitable access to healthcare, support services and essential resources that improve their quality of life. We address medical and social barriers by combining prevention, treatment access, psychosocial support and community engagement to reduce discrimination, restore dignity and strengthen resilience.
By promoting holistic care, awareness and accompaniment, we empower women and children to manage their health, reclaim opportunities and build hopeful, secure futures.
Social Inclusion
Our mission is to empower vulnerable women through skills training, employment opportunities and economic‑inclusion programmes that build financial independence, confidence and social belonging. By creating clear pathways to decent work —paired with mentorship and practical support—we help women move from economic vulnerability to autonomy, resilience and lasting well‑being.
We believe economic empowerment is a catalyst for social inclusion: when women gain skills and income, they secure greater independence and can better support their families and contribute to their communities. Our goal is a future in which every woman has the opportunity to achieve economic independence, dignity and full participation in society.
Our Strategy
To maximize our impact and ensure the sustainability of our work, we focus on three strategic priorities that guide our actions and shape our long-term vision.
Strengthening Sustainability and Impact
Sustaining our programmes is essential so vulnerable communities receive reliable support over time. We help partner NGOs diversify and strengthen their funding base to build resilient, predictable revenue streams.
With stable financing, partners can invest in quality programmes, adapt to emerging needs, and scale what works. We also prioritise transparency, accountability and efficient resource management to ensure every contribution delivers measurable, lasting benefits for the communities we serve.
Building Strong Partnerships
We believe that lasting social change cannot be achieved in isolation. Strong partnerships are at the heart of our approach and enable us to combine expertise, resources, and networks to better serve vulnerable populations.
By working together with committed partners at the local, regional, and international levels, we can increase the reach, quality, and sustainability of our interventions while amplifying their positive impact.
Expanding Access and Reach
We aim to increase access to quality education for children, improve healthcare and support services for women and children living with HIV, and create more pathways to economic empowerment for vulnerable women. By extending our reach and developing approaches to service delivery, we strive to ensure that no one is left behind.
Our ambition is not only to support more beneficiaries, but also to deepen the quality and effectiveness of our interventions, empowering individuals to build healthier, more independent, and more resilient futures.
Our Team
The Livina Foundation operates with a dedicated core team supported by a network of experienced consultants, technical experts, and strategic partners.
This model enables us to remain agile and efficient while drawing on specialised expertise across our areas of intervention. Together, we work to deliver impactful, sustainable programmes that improve the lives of vulnerable women and children.
